This blog was born from my own journey to build a home that felt both beautiful and safe. As a mom, I became more mindful about the ingredients we used, the air we breathed, and the products we brought into our home. I wanted to create a space that was warm, inviting, and filled with things that supported our well-being—not worked against it.
Over time, I found joy in the little things: painting a room myself, making a clean version of a favorite recipe, swapping plastic for glass, or discovering a non-toxic makeup product that actually works. I realized these small shifts could add up to something powerful—and I wanted to share that with others who might be on a similar path.
But let’s be real—life is full.
I’m a wife, a full-time working mom to two amazing kids, and we’ve got a lovable (and often chaotic) dog in the mix too. Rooted + Refined is about finding beauty and balance in the middle of that real, everyday life. I know how overwhelming it can feel to want to do everything “clean” or “right,” but I’m here to remind you: it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Progress is better than perfection.
